Mike has been busy with commissions and exhibiting work in the recent SGFA PaperWorks 2019 Exhibition in London. Mike, along with other current SGFA members, has contributed to the Society’s book published to commemorate its centenary. He is honoured to be part of this project which showcases the combined talents of the SGFA membership. SGFA Website

An Artist’s Journey runs from 2nd – 26th May, 2018 at the Barbican Library, Barbican Centre, London. This is Mike’s 3rd solo exhibition; his second at the Barbican. All the paintings are new work. We are delighted to announce that the Maritime Archaeology Trust are exhibiting some of the work Mike has done for them in his role as Artist-in-Residence.
To coincide with the exhibition, Kate has published her first collection of short stories, illustrated by Mike and published through Amazon.
January 2018
An Artist’s Journey to be held from 2nd – 26th May, 2018 at the Barbican Library, Barbican Centre, London. This is Mike’s 3rd solo exhibition; his second at the Barbican. All the paintings are new work. We are delighted to announce that the Maritime Archaeology Trust will be exhibiting some of the work Mike has done for them in his role as Artist-in-Residence.
December 2017
Mike is busy working on the paintings for his third solo exhibition – An Artist’s Journey – to be held at the Barbican Library, Barbican Centre, London during May 2018.
Kate is writing a book of London short stories which will be published in May with illustrations by Mike.

In June 2017, Mike will be exhibiting 4 paintings at sgfa@bankside. This exhibition runs from 6 – 18 June at Bankside Gallery, Thames Riverside, 48 Hopton Street, London SE1 9JH. http://www.sgfa.org.uk/

October 2016
We have had a busy summer. Mike has been working with the Maritime Archaeology Trust and has contributed over 30 watercolour pictures to support the educational work of the Trust.
Currently, he is exhibiting a painting in Draw 16 – the 95th Open Exhibition of the Society of Graphic Fine Art being held at the Menier Gallery, Soutwark Street, London from 3rd – 15th October.

March 2016– Update
At long last we have updated the website with news.
Kate has graduated from the University of Southampton with an MA in Creative Writing and has completed her debut novel entitled The Little Acrobat. In April, she is speaking at a conference about music hall during World War 1 ‘Pack Up Your Troubles’. Revisiting Old Friends – Southwark Cathedral Refectory July 2015. This will be Mike’s second solo exhibition and will feature paintings of London around Southwark and beyond. This is a delightful venue and Mike is pleased to be able to show new pictures of the city.
Book – Rambling About London – we are delighted to announce that the book was presented at the London Book Fair at Olympia on the PubMatch Bookshelf from 14th – 16th April 2015.

October 2014: Mike is delighted to announce that earlier this month he was elected as an Associate to the prestigious Society of Graphic Fine Art
Funded in 1919, the Society promotes fine drawing skills in both traditional and contemporary media. Today there are more than 120 elected members of the Society across the UK. We’re professional artists from all areas of the art world who work in all drawing and printmaking media.
The Society of Graphic Fine Art is the only national society in the UK dedicated exclusively to drawing.
June 2014: The ‘Rambling About London’ Exhibition opened on 4th June 2014 at the Barbican Library and the Private View Event was very successful and well attended. Thank you to all those who joined us and made it such a happy occasion.

May 2014: We have been busy completing the final preparations for the exhibition and the book, both entitled Rambling About London.
December 2013: Both Mike and Kate wish you a very Happy Christmas and great New Year and look forward to welcoming you to Mike’s solo Exhibition in the Barbican Library in June 2014.
October 2013: Mike is making great progress with the pictures for his solo exhibition in June 2014 and together we are working on a book which will incorporate a number of the exhibition pictures, but which will have other illustrations of places we love around London, with commentary and short stories from Kate. This book will be published for general sale.
Kate has started her MA in Creative Writing at the University of Southampton and is enjoying having time to learn her craft alongside other writers.
June 2013: We are very excited to announce that Mike has been awarded a solo exhibition in the Barbican Library, Barbican Centre, London to show a series of his London paintings. The exhibition will take place between 4th and 30th June 2014. Our daughter, Sarah, will be helping us curate the exhibition. A date for your diaries – please come and see us – and watch this space for further information about the exhibition.
April 2013: Kate is delighted to announce that she has accepted an unconditional offer from Southampton University to study for an MA in Creative Writing starting in September 2013. This is a part-time degree course and runs over 2 years. ‘I am really excited about this opportunity. I love to write and this will give me the luxury of access to accomplished writers, valuable feedback and help me to stretch my own writing. ‘

March 2013 : Mike has submitted a number of paintings in the Lymington Arts Group Exhibition, held in Lymington Community Centre, Cannon Street, Lymington, which runs until Saturday 6 April 2013.
